The McKinney Historic Half Presented by BMW is more than a race, it’s a celebration of community, history, and health in one of the fastest-growing areas of Texas. Hosted by TUPPS Brewery and returning April 3, 2027, the second annual event will bring the BMW Dallas Marathon’s standard of excellence to McKinney with a distinctly local feel, showcasing the city’s historic downtown, scenic neighborhoods, and park system.
With a Half Marathon, 5K, and Kid’s 100M Dash, the event welcomes runners of all levels and ages, with proceeds benefiting Scottish Rite for Children of Frisco.

The Dallas Running Club will provide pacers for the half marathon! The Dallas Running Club Pace Team promises to provide fun and excitement for both first time and experience half marathoners looking to reach their running goals – whether that’s a personal best or just getting across the finish line.
Each Pace Leader will run even splits (every mile will be run in the same amount of time) throughout the race, and following your Pace Team Leader, you’ll cross the finish line under two minutes of your goal time.

On race morning you’ll see them lined up according to their pace and holding signs with their finish times. Just fall in with your group and you’re good to go!
Personalize your commemorative McKinney Historic Half medal with an iTAB Ribbon Hanger, engraved with your name and finish time. Add iTAB to your registration and your iTAB will be mailed to you shortly after race day.
