The McKinney Historic Half Presented by BMW is more than a race, it’s a celebration of community, history, and health in one of the fastest-growing areas of Texas. Hosted by TUPPS Brewery and launching March 28, 2026, the inaugural event will bring the BMW Dallas Marathon’s standard of excellence to McKinney with a distinctly local feel, showcasing the city’s historic downtown, scenic neighborhoods, and park system.

With a Half Marathon, 5K, and Kid’s 100M Dash, the event welcomes runners of all levels and ages, with proceeds benefiting Scottish Rite for Children of Frisco.

Rules and Time Limit

In accordance with the guidelines issued by USA Track & Field and Wheelchair Sports USA, only runners, walkers and wheelchair participants will be allowed on the course. See the official rules for a complete list of course guidelines. Click below to read the time limits for each race. Runners must be 16 years or older to participate in the Half Marathon.

iTAB – Medal Personalization ($15)

Personalize your commemorative McKinney Historic Half medal with an iTAB Ribbon Hanger, engraved with your name and finish time. Add iTAB to your registration and your iTAB will be mailed to you shortly after race day.
